DECLARATION
ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY – FROM BIRTH TO DEGRADATION
We hereby declare that our tapes are
environmental friendly. The carrier is made of
polypropylene film, and the adhesive is Hot Melt Pressure
Sensitive.
Containing no toxic components,
polypropylene is favored for our tapes. The adhesive is
solvent less; thus non-polluting, safe in production and
non-toxic to the staff. Moreover, the energy used in the
process is minimal.
We do not intentionally add, to our
products, during the manufacturing process one or more among
the listed metals: Lead, Mercury, Chrome, Cadmium or their
salts.
The tapes, do not contain any
formaldehyde.
No ozone depleting chemicals are used during the
manufacturing of our products.
After use – the tapes can be recycled
for secondary products, used as a non-toxic energy source by
incineration, or disposed in landfills.
ITCO #1400, #1500, #1600.
The chemical components of the adhesive
and backing used are cleared under the Code of Federal
Regulations of the United States of America Food and Drugs
Administration, Title 21 (21 CFR) 175.105 (Adhesives),
177.1520 (Olefin polymers), 178.2010 (Antioxidants and\or
stabilizers for Polymers) or are prior sanctioned. The easy
coating side of the tape is cleared under 21 CFR 178.3860
(Release agents).
The back side of the tape can be used
in contact with dry food containing no surface fat or oil.
The adhesive regulation, 21 CFR
175.105, requires that the adhesive is either separated from
the food by a functional barrier or used subject to the
following additional limitations:
1)
In dry foods
The quantity
of adhesive that contacts packaged dry foods shall not
exceed the limits of good manufacturing practice.
2)
In fatty and aqueous foods
a)
The quantity of adhesives that contacts packaged
fatty and aqueous foods shall not exceed the trace amounts
at the seams and at the edge exposure between packaging
laminates that may occur within the limits of good
manufacturing practice.
b)
Under normal conditions of use, the packaging seams
or laminates will remain firmly bonded without visible
separation.
We can assure you that our ITCO #1400,
#1500, #1600 do not contain any hazardous substances
according to the definition outlined in 16 CFR 1500.3.
Regarding the heavy metal content in
our self-adhesive tapes, please note:
The heavy metal (lead, cadmium,
mercury, hexavalent chromium) content in our self adhesive
tapes was measured by an independent institute following the
method ICP-MS. The following result was achieved:
The accumulated part of heavy metals is
significantly below 100ppm.
