SECURITY TAPE

  
ITCO has created tamper evident tape for some of the largest companies in the United States. We are especially active in providing security tape to the apparel, electronics and medical industries. Because security tape is no better than the holding power of adhesive and the strength of the packing, we provide our customers tape that has an adhesive 2.5 - 4 times the shear strength of average 2.0 mil carton sealing tape. Also the tensile strength of these tapes is 50% - 75% stronger than the average 2.0 mil carton sealing tape.

Construction:
Backing is a biaxially oriented polypropylene film
Adhesive is pressure sensitive hot melt rubber resin

Physical Properties:
*Film thickness (total with adhesive) – 2.0 mil
*Tensile strength (lbs/in) – 45 lbs/in | (ASTM-D-3759) (PSTC-31)
*Elongation at break (%) – 160% | (ASTM-D-3759) (PSTC-31)
*Adhesion to steel (oz/in) – 40 oz/in | (ASTM-D-3330M) (PSTC-1)
*Loop-tack (oz/in) – 50 oz/in

Application Temperature Range:
45 degrees – 120 degrees F

  • Product 1400 is water resistant.  Test based on ASTM-D-5570.
  • Adheres instantly to most surfaces including cartons containing high levels of recycled content.
  • Has strong backing with high edge tear and split resistance
  • Complies with environmental codes of ASTM-D-1974-92
